ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) - Michigan basketball coach John Beilein is seeing what he wants.
Beilein said earlier this week he was watching video of a practice and a Michigan sophomore was clearly disappointed with a freshman teammate. That showed Beilein the Wolverines are getting his system, which helped them reach the NCAA tournament last season for the first time since 1998.
Michigan is expected to have another successful season, drawing enough votes to be ranked No. 15 in The Associated Press preseason poll released Thursday -- its first preseason ranking in 12 years.
All-Big Ten player Manny Harris and DeShawn Sims are the top players on a team that returns its top six scorers and will rely on highly touted freshman point guard Darius Morris.
